YB$ MOVEMENT...
Young Black and Successful or (YB$) originated in the hearts of two young black high school kids who wanted to feel like they were more than societies depictions of them. Time went on and these young boys grew into men that each felt led by YB$ in the paths they had chosen in their lives. These two remained friends and had countless conversations surrounding fashion. society, and economics which led to the evolution of YB$. Turning a simple phrase into a tangible clothing line that embodies both of their ideologies. YB$ is a clothing line but it is also much more than that, it is something that you can feel, it is a movement created for men and women of color worldwide.
MEET THE FOUNDERS
Joshua Murphy
Co-Founder of YB$, Joshua, inspired by a strong devotion to spreading the idea of self-love to the black community. This idea has led him to various pursuits that range from coaching to getting involved in various non-profit organizations that helped him mentor young men and women with his ideals. His main hope is for YB$ to be a creative outlet for young men and women of color to express themselves positively through fashion and faith.
MEET THE FOUNDERS
Gershom Ejoni
Co-founder of YB$, Gershom, found inspiration from music, art, culture, and faith. All of which, are reflected in his sense of style. Hopes to reflect these ideas in YB$. As a young man he was fortunate to surrounded by black men who were not only inspirational, but played integral parts in uplifting their communities. Taking what he learned from his youth, Gershom desires to reflect similar traits in his own community by inspiring them through YB$, like the men before him.
